When I heard that they'd be changing the intersection of Regent Street and Oxford Street to a scramble crossing I was pretty damn pleased since it's something they should have done years ago.

So I was reading about the official opening this morning and about to make a joke to kaitou1412 about how we could begin counting down to when the cosplayers would start appearing and then I saw the pictures.

I salute you, London Cosplayers. I'm not sure what I'm saluting you for but I'm grudgingly impressed, nonetheless.

In other news it's November and I'm taking part in the annual orgy of self-induced stress that are the Nanos. I've posted my first four manga pages over on the Nanomango community.

My fondness for Persona 4 being what it is, the fan art spammage continues.

Oh Persona 4. You fascinate me so. You're so very near perfect and yet you've got almost exactly the same creative team as Persona 3, one of the most misconcieved games I've ever played. I would love to know how you managed to get from one to the other via design-by-committee, it would probably make a fantastic game studies paper.

Yes! Persona 4! It is really very good! Having it come out so soon after WEWY makes me feel a bit spoilt, RPG-wise.

As per WEWY, it's demanding rather a lot of fanart. I was going to do some yonkoma first but then aphelion_orion wrote me a super-cute P4 fic, so this is my thank you.

I know I have a problem when I'm worrying about spoilers over character design.

Anyway, there's a lot of WEWY stuff I haven't been posting here because it is seriously spoilery but this one I think is safe enough.

Regarding WEWY, now that Twig and Ann are playing and I basically have second opinions to assure me I'm not completely off-base, seriously, PLAY THIS GAME.

The last time Square made something this good and this innovative it was called FF7.

Right, with that out of the way, this isn't anything to do with TWEWY. What it is, though, is a character/costume design of one of the guys I plan to make creepy little dolls of.

I am officially into the 'panic and run into walls' phase of this so at this point I'm basically doing stuff just to clear my head. 'Stuff' usually boiling down to 'chibis' or 'cute girls in cute outfits' because my brain demands sugar before it'll get moving again.

Plus it was swiftly brought to my attention that a decent digital camera is about the price of a Wii. Dude, if I had the money for a Wii I'd own one already.

So I am settling for sucky photo-quality. This is not entirely good as I've got at least four WEWY paper children down the pipe-line before I get bored with this.

So a while ago kaitou1412 had a birthday, as people tend to, and I didn't field anything for it. Well, I had planned one piece of art, but it was a bit random - which is to say it involved referencing this piece.

Eventually I came up with a better idea;

I swear I will cut this out any day now (mind, probably when Professor Layton arrives and I have something to distract me) - having run out of non-spoiler fanart ideas for WEWY, I decided to finish off a piece for its sister-franchise, Kingdom Hearts. This one's been sitting around as a half-finished piece of line-art since, hrm . . . October 2006?

I actually finished it last Sunday but it took me until yesterday to finish off all the extra content in the replay.

And then I started to do fan-art, mostly to distract myself from the fact that I had run out of game.

Nearly two years ago now I promised a bunch of people a bunch of drabbles.

So it comes to my attention that I have done Absolutely None of the Drabbles I promised over a year ago.

I'm rather in the mood to do some more drabbles but feel bad about not finishing any of the previous ones. On the other hand, I obviously wasn't that successful with 'em.

If you had a previous request in and you still want it, though, please prod me to finish. If you want something different, though, I'll do you a two-for-one deal.

Otherwise, y'know, go ahead and ask anyway. If you want.

So I have a new batch of chibis. Yes, this is related to my mother visiting. Her current geeksquee is largely Heroes-related so that's what this batch is for.

There's not much for me to say, art-wise, all my chibis follow the same old formula, so instead I'm going to ramble on about my related fannish opinions.

So I've been using GIMP for about a year but so far I haven't really done much with it other than some basic image editing. I started poking at its more advanced options over the weekend, trying to get to grips with how it handles layers and paths and masks so on.

A particularly good nap last night and a comment Morgan made regarding myself, Luna Lovegood and Hats what eat Heads resulted in a quick sketch, which then resulted in a peice of random half-assed vector art.

I have, by this point, mentioned to quite a few people that there's an idea for a yaoi manga kicking around in my brain that refuses to go away.

It wasn't as if I didn't try to fight back, resorting to, as windlion dubbed it, 'defensive yuri'. Alas, it didn't work, but at least I got a picture out of it.

This is the second-to-last reference piece I need to do before windlion and I start ordering commissions on Gaia. Once the last one's done I'll get back to working on art I promised everyone else.
