Nearly two years ago now I promised a bunch of people a bunch of drabbles.

I have actually finally gotten around to doing two of 'em.

Something I would have forgotten about, if not blessed with a holy visitation to remind me. After humbly inquiring with my blessed visitor if perhaps the surprise in my pants would be a suitable offering, I was steered towards something more fitting towards the day.

I recently got in to a conversation with a friend about the value for money you get when commissioning artists on Gaia. I can be somewhat impartial about this now given I haven't been doing commissions myself for about half a year, which is a lifetime by Gaia standards. Anyway, she thinks the prices have been getting unreasonable but from my point of view I think it's still highway robbery compared to what you'd have to pay these guys in real money.

Mainly this occurred because I'm starting to move in to getting commissions of the Coreverse characters done. I used to think this was the most egotistical thing ever, once upon a time, but now I'm partially curious how they'd come across when drawn by others and, frankly, not about to pass up the chance to get better artists to draw things I can't do myself.

This is the first thing I've ever gotten commissioned, because while I can't draw shounen I can't really draw soft shoujo either.

I made various people chibis for Christmas, plus I'm trying to get all my owed art out of the way in time before New Years.

Blargh. I am so behind on my art foo. After I finish this current run of commissions, zine manga and drabbles I'm going to ignore everyone for a while. I love being taken out of my own head by other people's requests, but I think I should go in search of a consistent style again, and I hate subjecting other people's characters to my mad experiments.
